FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What measures are taken to ensure that standards, needs & instructions are consistently met?

  1. Our service Team Leads will complete and leave a checklist.
  2. The customer profiles are kept on file and reviewed prior to every cleaning.
  3. Management does random spot checks and reviews with team leaders.
  4. We periodically leave customer report cards for your input.

How do I know you will be there when you say you will?

This is also included in our service guarantee. It costs us money not to meet our committed schedule.

Will my calls go to an answering service or machine?

No, all calls come directly through to the General Manager. The only time you get voice mail is on overflow if all of the lines are tied up, or if we are out of the office on client appointments. If we are out of the office, the voice mail will notify us of your message via our cell phones.

How is the staff screened?

  1. Security checks are done on all employees and they are confirmed to be bondable.
  2. References are checked
  3. We make sure that all employees are authorized to work in Canada.
  4. Home Maid Inc. management conduct behavioral interviewing.

How many people to a crew?

Two to three per crew for most homes gives the most cost effective, efficient combination for safety and quality. Safety considerations and Work Alone legislation prevent us from putting a lone individual on site.

What do I/We need to do to prepare for the cleaners?

  1. To have the bedding changed, we would require that you leave the clean linen out on the respective beds.
  2. Advanced access arrangements
  3. If you would prefer that we use your cleaning equipment and/or supplies, we request that you leave directions to locate them (assuming the directions are not included in the special instructions of your service agreement). Direction will be noted in your file for subsequent visits.
  4. Any new directions or instructions for pets, daytime contact numbers, etc.

What is required to obtain pricing?

  1. Soft copy pricing is accessible by using the estimates page of the web site.
  2. For hard copy pricing you can telephone our office and request a facsimile version.
  3. In most cases, off-site pricing will hold up. Some sites have special needs, however. If you feel your site warrants special attention, we will be happy to arrange a premise inspection at no charge.
  4. You will receive a response within 48 hours, usually the next day.

If I request prices, will I/We be pressured to use your service?

Absolutely not. We respect your ability to make your own decisions and rely on our belief in the value we provide. The only follow up might be to address questions and make sure that you have received the response in good order.
